In Estonia, stove mason is a certified trade. My certificate number is 234557 and anyone can verify it free of charge: check the national register.

A stove passport for every job

The stove passport is the document a mason draws up for a finished heating appliance. It is asked for at heating system inspections and in insurance claims. Without one you later need a separate expert assessment, which costs many times more.

Built to EVS 812-3

This is the Estonian fire safety standard for heating systems. A firebox built to it is deemed to meet the fire safety requirements. In a dispute with the Rescue Board or an insurer, it is the strongest argument there is.
